About Us

Penn-Trafford Area Recreation Commission (PTARC) is a non-profit formed in 2001 by an intergovernmental agreement between four neighboring communities in the Penn-Trafford School District, Westmoreland County, PA. Read about The Benefits of PTARC.

Mission

The mission of PTARC is to provide residents of the Penn-Trafford School District with the opportunity for life-long learning, fitness, and fun through the implementation of wholesome, affordable recreation activities and the development of safe, appealing facilities.

The commission is responsible for organizing, supervising, administering, maintaining, and operating a community recreation program for residents of the Penn-Trafford School District.

Service Area

PTARC serves the residents of the communities within the Penn-Trafford School District, including those living within the borders of Manor Borough, Penn Borough, Trafford Borough, and Penn Township. All residents of Manor Borough are included. Hempfield Area School District residents who live in Manor Borough pay the resident fee.
